Ina-Garten

Ina Garden is an American writer of cookbooks, who has received Emmy awards. Ina Garden hosts the oldest Food Network show, Barefoot Contessa. The show premiered in 2002. The show will run for another 27 seasons. Ina started her career with nuclear energy policy and budgets for the White House. She initially found her career fascinating intellectually but then she lost interest, when she bought a food specialty store that was named Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to make the business extremely profitable before letting it go and grabbing a pen for her first novel. There were other cookbooks to follow, as were magazine articles. Later, the Food Network television show too was launched and quickly became popular. She also sells a range of products ranging from cooking supplies to storage and equipment. Ina never went to a cookery institute nor did worked in the restaurant industry. She's completely self-taught. She's known for her easygoing way of cooking and entertaining. Her most famous dishes are Skillet-Roasted lemon chicken, Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon and The Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts, and Lemon Bars.
